Quote of the day:
“I wish I was a congressman Anthony Weiner
That is what I’d truly like to beeeee
And If I was a congressman Anthony Weiner
Everyone would be in love with meeeee….” –Joyanna Adams
They call themselves liberals, but they are intent upon abolishing liberty. They call themselves democrats, but they yearn for dictatorship. They call themselves revolutionaries, but they want to make the government omnipotent. They promise the blessings of the Garden of Eden, but they plan to transform the world into a gigantic post office. Every man but one a subordinate clerk in a bureau. What an alluring utopia! What a noble cause to fight!
Against all this frenzy of agitation there is but one weapon available: reason. Just common sense is needed to prevent man from falling prey to illusory fantasies and empty catchwords. — Bureaucracy by Ludwig von Mises (1944) Conclusion – - Mises Institute (Via American Digest)

Japan’s addiction to a huge, infrastructure business continues, despite the disaster at Fukushima I Nuke Plant. Now, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has given the approval to start building the line for the “Linear Shinkansen (bullet train)” in the middle of Japan, through the pristine mountainous region dubbed in Japan as “Japan Alps“, so that people in a nation with dwindling population can go from Tokyo to Osaka in 1 hour, instead of 2.5 hours.
Today’s Drudge Ku on the e Coli outbreak that is spreading from Europe:
Germany, Austria, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, England...
Three suspected cases in U.S....
Never seen before in outbreak...
'Highly infectious and toxic'...
Resistant to antibiotics...
Shuts down kidneys...
Scientists on Thursday blamed Europe’s worst recorded food-poisoning outbreak on a “super-toxic” strain of E. coli bacteria that may be brand new.
But while suspicion has fallen on raw tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce as the source of the germ, researchers have been unable to pinpoint the food responsible for the frightening illness, which has killed at least 18 people, sickened more than 1,600 and spread to least 10 European countries.
An alarmingly large number of victims — about 500 — have developed kidney complications that can be deadly.
Chinese and German scientists analyzed the DNA of the E. coli bacteria and determined that the outbreak was caused by “an entirely new, super-toxic” strain that contains several antibiotic-resistant genes, according to a statement from the Shenzhen, China-based laboratory BGI. It said the strain appeared to be a combination of two types of E. coli.
“This is a unique strain that has never been isolated from patients before,” Hilde Kruse, a food safety expert at the World Health Organization, told The Associated Press. The new strain has “various characteristics that make it more virulent and toxin-producing” than the many E. coli strains people naturally carry in their intestines.
Bolstered by support from the Obama Administration, the OECD now is taking its campaign to the next level. At its Global Tax Forum in Bermuda, which ends later today, the bureaucrats unveiled a new scheme that effectively would result in the creation of something akin to a World Tax Organization.
The vehicle for this effort is a Multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters. This may sound dry and technical, but the OECD wants all nations to participate in this pact, which has existed for a couple of decades but was radically expanded last year to give high-tax governments sweeping new powers to impose bad tax law on income generated in low-tax jurisdictions.
But the real smoking gun is that the OECD has put itself in charge of the “co-ordinating body” that will have enormous powers to interpret the agreement, modify the pact, and resolve disputes – thus giving itself the ability to serve as judge, jury, and executioner.
It would be nice to have leadership that would defend American interests, rather than selling us out to a global socialist power structure. But the resplendent Barack Hussein Obama isn’t so parochial as to be just the president of the USA. In the words of Evan Thomas of Newsweek, one of the establishment media apparatchiks who helped him to power,
“Obama’s standing above the country, above — above the world, he’s sort of God.”
There could be no higher god, from a liberal point of view, than a global socialist dictator with the power to tax to death anyone who tries to achieve anything anywhere.
These seem to be becoming quite popular lately: This particular one was titled: “Let them buy bonds.” We are waiting to see how it will be revised following today’s wonderful “Bailout #2″ news. Expect Greek exchanges to hike rope margins asap.
I think the chances of the euro zone surviving intact are now less than 50%. They’re not 0%. But they do seem to be shrinking every day.
If this report is accurate, there will be a major repercussion in the Middle East. The report places the blame for the acquisition not only on Iran but their partners in the Chinese, Pakistani, North Korean, and Ukrainian governments. Pakistan has already sheltered bin Laden and now could have pushed Iran over the top.
It’s impossible to know at this juncture what Egypt will eventually become. It may be that the pathologies there (and elsewhere) run so deep that self-government is simply hopeless. It may be that Islamist forces take control, as happened in Iran, and that Egypt a decade from now is more repressive, more anti-Semitic and anti-Christian, and more aggressive than it was under Mubarak. Conservatives should always open to the possibility that things could be worse.
But the lid blew in Egypt, as well as in other Arab nations, because people rose up on their own against repression, injustice, and widespread poverty. That is precisely what George W. Bush warned would come to pass. And whatever one felt at the time about the possibilities and dangers of the revolutions now engulfing much of the Arab world, American policy should be to use all the levers at our disposal, which are limited but not insignificant, to help guide the revolution in a direction that advances American interests and ideals. That is, I think, what prudence dictates.
Socialists and the Muslim Brotherhood have a common enemy: us. With Barack Hussein Obama in charge, they have a common friend: our government.
The good news is that these useful idiot lefties will be the first to get lined up for firing squads, just like in Iran.
Australia: Greens’ conspiracy of silence
The cause of Syrian democracy deserves our active, vocal support. But as we’ve observed, there’s no succour forthcoming from the Australian Greens. With their tunnel vision view of the Middle East through a pro-Palestinian prism, Bob Brown and his colleagues evince no visible interest in the wholesale slaughter going on throughout Syria.
This deafening silence on Syria is emblematic of the ethical bankruptcy that infects Leftwing foreign policy. The selective outrage of the Greens and their fellow travellers bespeaks a fundamental hypocrisy that that strips bare their pretensions to any sort of moral superiority.
They don’t call it ‘Mogadishu on the Mississippi’ for nothing…Somali suicide bomber was from Minneapolis
Abdirahman Warsame at Terror Free Somalia informed us late last night that messages appearing on known al-Shabaab websites indicate that a suicide bomber who carried out on attack on AMISOM forces in Mogadishu on Monday was a Somali-American from the Minneapolis area. A twenty-two minute audio was posted on the Somali Memo website (article and audio have since disappeared) that included a segment of an English-speaking Somali speaker — apparently the suicide bomber — who encourages Muslims in the West to “die for their religion.”
And why are they racist? Because the Smurfs turn black when they get sick.
The fact that Canada achieved these cuts while having socialized medicine hanging around its neck like an albatross makes the feat even more impressive. Did spending cuts depress Canada’s economy, as American liberals would predict? No:
As the government cut its spending on programs from 14.9 percent of GDP in fiscal year 1996 to 12.1 percent in fiscal year 2000, more resources were available for people to use productively in the private sector. From 1997 to 2000, when government spending as a percent of GDP fell, Canada’s economy experienced a high rate of real growth of between four and five percent per year.
Watching the folly that often passes for government in Washington, it is easy to accept the fatalistic view that spending can never be cut, and America is doomed to fiscal collapse. But if Canada can do it, why can’t we?
Reid is required to safeguard the lives of the sacred carp, transporting them in water-filled containers. If any die, he must bury them — presumably with memorial services appropriate to the carp’s beliefs.
What’s more, his permit expires in two weeks even though floodwaters have yet to recede.
Typically, the bureaucrats making his life hell congratulate themselves on their helpfulness:

It is all just a little bit of history repeating….I have been telling people for the last three years that, in the end, what will transpire will not be a replay of the American Revolution but the French Revolution because the situation we find ourselves in is closer to 1780’s France then 1770’s America. Needless to say read the whole thing and download the book…Bringin’ the Doom… Old School!
So why aren’t private employers employing more people? Perhaps this real-life example will help shine a light.
In Alaska, one of the most significant finds of copper, gold and molybdenum (hardens steel) in U.S. history was discovered. Yet almost a decade later — and more than $125 million of environmental and cultural studies later — the Pebble Mine is still being subjected to Environmental Protection Agency review. A review that is at best likely to demand that tens of millions more dollars be spent for additional studies encompassing an area roughly equal to the states of Maryland and New Jersey combined. All to open one mine and put 2,000 miners to work.
To make matters worse, the ore won’t be processed in the U.S., because our domestic copper smelting capacity has been cut by about 60 percent in the past 20 years. More jobs lost largely on the altar of environmental regulation.
This is just one of myriad examples of how our nation’s obsession with litigation and environmental regulation has turned us into a place where employers cannot afford to create jobs. It is cheaper and more profitable to do it elsewhere.
I think the fed has to really see the economy printing minus numbers first.” So there’s the benchmark: contraction, or at least collapsing growth. Which is precisely where we are now. Yes, QE3 is a certainty, and when it is announced, to borrow a phrase, hide your kids, hide your wife, and certainly hide your gold.
Remember the Catch 22: everything (commodities, stocks, etc) has to go far lower, before everything surges yet again post the next monetary easing episode.
The Federal government borrowed and spent $5.1 trillion over the past four years to generate a cumulative $700 billion increase in the nation’s GDP. That means we’ve borrowed and spent $7.28 for every $1 of nominal “growth” in GDP. In constant dollars, GDP is flat: we got no growth at all for our $5.1 trillion: zip, zero, nada. In constant dollars, the GDP in 2011 might return to the 2007 level, if the economy continues “growing” at the same pace reached in the first three months of 2011. If not, then the GDP will actually be lower than pre-recession levels. If you borrowed $7 to get $1 in your pocket, would that strike you as a good deal? How long do you reckon you could borrow $7 to get $1 of “growth” in your finances? Let’s say you need $3,000 a month to pay all the household bills. No problem, just go borrow $21,000 and your household economy will “grow” by $3,000. If this isn’t the height of fiscal nonsense, then what is?
Ignore the fact that, as a senator, Obama voted (when he wasn’t absent, owing to campaign appearances) for much of the debt he now claims to have inherited. We will further refrain from blaming him for an economic crisis that started before he entered the Oval Office. Obama’s accountability concerns his failure to get the job done since then. This week’s anemic economic reports provide the latest in a steadily lengthening parade of news that demonstrates Obama’s policies not only have not produced the promised recovery, but very likely have retarded it. As the maxim goes, insanity consists of doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result.
The Obama administration put the incompetent foxes in charge of the henhouse, and the results speak for themselves.
Walter Russell Means: The Death of the American Dream I
American housing policy has reached a dead end. We can no longer stimulate the economy successfully by encouraging more and more people to assume higher levels of debt. Decades of public policy aimed at subsidizing home ownership created conditions that spewed toxic mortgages into the financial markets, costing taxpayers hundreds of billions in bailouts and trillions more in lost wealth and lost jobs in the economic downturn, and created a ruinous housing bubble.
It was not, by any means, a complete flop. Tens of millions of American families enjoyed the benefits of living in a home of their own. Prudent borrowers who bought only the house they needed and fought off the temptation to use their home equity to finance their lifestyles have mostly not done too badly. Many homeowners can and will hang on until the inevitable market correction pares their losses to a manageable level. Those lucky or far sighted enough to buy at the right time are still sitting on sizable profits.
But something has, I think, changed. Something big. Humpty Dumpty has fallen off the wall. A social ideal has received a irrecoverable blow and the era of consuming our way to prosperity is drawing to a close. The country has maxed out its credit cards, and we are going to have to live within our means.
Yet, as today came and the first vote to raise the debt ceiling without adding any spending cuts to the bill was called, 29 of those very Democrats that signed the letter voted against a clean raise of the debt ceiling. Another five voted “present” essentially ducking the vote.
So, in just one month these Democrats went from claiming that it was a financial emergency to vote “yes” on a clean raising of the debt ceiling to vote “no” on just such a bill!
In fact, 82 Democrats voted with the Republicans to down a clean raise of the debt ceiling after months of of their party claiming that a clean raise is what was needed.
How exactly do you deal with a party that changes its mind every month or so?
But the record shows that the Democratic Party — not the Republican Party — is responsible for the Bush tax cuts continuing 10 years after they were first enacted — tax cuts I support even though I am a far cry from being rich.
Despite President Obama’s promises to end the Bush tax cuts, in December, a Democratic House and a Democratic Senate extended the Bush tax cuts for two more years.
Furthermore, eight of the 10 richest members of Congress are Democrats.
President Obama in 2009 may have set a record for income of a sitting president with earnings of $5.5 million in that year alone.
That does not include his $1.4 million Nobel Peace Prize award.
Indeed, the president has earned more than $1 million in each of the last four years.
In fact, since 2007, the president has earned more than $14 million, not including that Nobel Peace Prize.
So as they “Rally for the Really Rich,” let area liberals raise a toast to Obama and the two richest men in America — Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, both of whom were early Obama supporters.
Senator David Vitter issued a statement yesterday calling the nomination “deeply disturbing”:
“Louisiana’s greatest jobs challenge is restarting drilling in the Gulf. So President Obama nominates someone as his jobs secretary who co-founded the group that files more baseless lawsuits against drilling than any other. This is deeply, deeply disturbing,”
The company to which Vitter refers is The National Resources Defense Council founded in 1970 by John Bryson, John Adams, and Gus Speth, among other activists. The group has, over the years, filed hundreds of lawsuits…
The biggest problem with these kinds of things are at the ‘non profit’ colleges. They will do nothing about them because they employ all those lovely radical left wing ‘professors”…For-profit colleges are issued new rules by Education Department
The regulations aim to rein in for-profit education programs that saddle students with more loan debt than they can reasonably repay. They also try to reform “some of the career college programs [that] do not succeed” and “bad actors” that have misled students, Education Secretary Arne Duncan told reporters on a conference call late Wednesday.
That’s right, choose to be poor and you won’t be forced to buy health insurance. Anyone remember Obama mentioning that during the health care debate?
Obamacare is bureaucrats setting dubious price controls that are very likely to limit access to medical care. (Say it with me, Obamacare fans: Having insurance coverage does not mean that a doctor will treat you.) Further, there’s absolutely no recourse for doctors or private citizens to challenge these bureaucratic decisions. Even Congress’ hands are largely tied. In fact, taking 13 percent of the federal budget away from Congress and giving that responsibility to executive branch bureaucrats may well be unconstitutional.
So you tell me which plan is more like Medicare as we know it? Ryan is absolutely correct to say “Obamacare itself that ends Medicare as we know it.”
Sarah Palin: “I think all our energy subsidies need to be re-looked at today and eliminated.”
Unlike President Obama, Sarah Palin will never, ever be in the pocket of an oil company.
Obama is the all-time champion recipient of money from BP officials.
Palin sued Exxon and took on the oil companies of Alaska.
Now she is willing to take on Big Wind, Big Corn (ethanol) and even coal, solar and ocean wave.
It turns out that the sand dune lizard, an innocuous little buff-colored guy, is (a) allegedly endangered and (b) living squat in the middle of 800,000 acres of Texas oil country. If the lizard and its environmentalist supporters win their case before the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, all of those 800,000 acres will fall under the control of a federal agency. Under the regulations as written, the lizard’s survival will trump oil production, farming, road construction — you name it, the little lizard will trump it.
Depending on how far the agency wishes to take it, this ruling could decimate a vast region in Texas, and, possibly, bring the United States to its knees too. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is currently saying that the oil industry is overstating the risks, but if there’s one thing we know about the bureaucratic mind, it’s that it will always go too far, especially when it’s doing so in the service of a Progressive agenda, with the agenda here being that Big Oil is eeeevviiilll.
Yes, dear readers, corruptocrat Interior Secretary Ken Salazar can be stopped.
Since day one of the Obama administration, I’ve chronicled Loathsome Cowboy Ken Salazar’s War on the West, War on Jobs, and War on Science/Rule of Law. The last straw was his attempted Wild Lands grab. GOP leaders rose up with farmers, ranchers, and Western governors to stop the scheme in its tracks. Utah and Alaska have filed suit. Wyoming joined the litigation this week.
In the past two weeks, President Obama has managed to produce something woefully elusive in Washington: bipartisanship. Unfortunately for him, it’s been bipartisan opposition to his agenda.
Score one for Senator Jeff Sessions: the ranking Republican on the Senate Budget Committee has been laying a two-by-four to Senate Democrats on a daily basis for some weeks now, blasting them for failing to produce a budget. The Democrats’ abandonment of their duty is so palpable that even their strongest supporters are now forced to acknowledge it.
But there was no suggestion the meeting had produced any concrete progress. Others expressed concern that the White House was not giving them a solid proposal and accused the president of playing politics.
“Unfortunately, what we did not hear from the president is a specific plan of his to deal with the debt crisis,” Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, said.
According to sources, Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., took time during the meeting to defend his Medicare proposal, which has been hammered by Democratic political leaders. He suggested the president was egging on Democrats to attack the plan, and accused Obama of failing to show leadership, according to sources.
Sources said Ryan got a standing ovation for his remarks during the meeting,
I get emails from “Barack Obama” on an almost daily basis (somehow I got on the OFA mailing list), this is extra creepy.
Word from Washington this morning: White House legal counsel Bob “The Silencer” Bauer — husband of Fox-bashing Team Obama spinner Anita Dunn — is stepping down.
But he’s not retiring. He’s just switching seats on the bus, as usual, and gearing up for another bully boy presidential campaign.
There is no feel good factor in America at the moment. But there is a great deal of uncertainty, nervousness, even fear over the future of the world’s only superpower. This is hardly a solid foundation for a presidential victory for the incumbent. Even though we don’t know yet who he will be up against, Barack Obama could well go into 2012 as the underdog rather than the favourite he is frequently portrayed as. On balance we’re likely to see a very close race 17 months from now. But there is also the distinct possibility of an electoral rout of the president if the economy goes further south. “Hope and change” might have played well in 2008, but it is a message that will likely ring hollow in November 2012, with an American public that is deeply disillusioned with the direction Obama is taking the country.
The idea that Obama is The Man With A Plan will be a tough sell, since he has focused on everything but jobs, jobs, jobs (now its immigration?!?) ever since he flipped the keys to Nancy and Harry and put them in charge of the stimulus.
You know he is toast when they start calling him a *GASP!* Republican: Good News: Media Now Identifying Weiner as a Republican
Obviously Democrats will now be demanding his resignation.
For a guy who’s suddenly taking the position that this was all just a harmless prank, he seemed pretty bent out of shape at that CNN press conference. If that condition persists for more than four hours, congressman, consult your doctor.
Roger describes Weiner as “Don Juan in Hell,” but considering that he married Hillary’s personal assistant, and that Bill himself presided over the ceremony, Weiner’s starting to seem like one of those hapless men that Connie Corleone was marrying at the start of the first two Godfather movies.
And that worked out just swell for both of them…
Yes, people like Anthony Weiner are in positions of power and actually control the destiny of the United States. Sleep well, America.
Evading questions, however, is a strategy most often utilized by people with something to hide, and will only further pique the media’s interest. Weiner either has something to hide, or he has no idea how the media operates.
Now this is important, Make Believe Media, for the same reason Weiner keeps pushing the lie — if he was tweeting about hockey, it makes it sound like sex wasn’t on his mind.
But he wasn’t tweeting about hockey. He wasn’t tweeting at all, not publicly. He started with the “Tivo ate the hockey game, #WhoDoISue?” jazz after he sent out a suspicious package for all the world to see.
Is it so hard, at this late date, to understand the concept of “reverse chronological order”? That is, entries nearer to the top of a page were actually published more recently than those below?
Let me try to give you an analogy that will help you make sense of this baffling situation: You know all of your own blogs, headline feeds, and so forth? Yeah, they’re in reverse chronological order too.
I know this is confusing because it’s a case of “first appearing, last posted,” and I know it feels for your little brains like I’m talking about exotic time-travel technology here, but I assure you, that in a Twitter feed, just like in the headline feeds of the newspapers at your jobs (or should I say: “jobs”), the entries at the top of the list actually came after the later entries.
You have to read, for the chronological order you’re used to, from the bottom up.
I know this is confusing. That’s why I’m here. To help you with your various confusions. And incompetencies.
Brett Favre, Super Bowl champion and Hall of Fame lock probably has even more man-cards than Anthony Weiner (arguably!). Yet a guy who could walk into any bar in Manhattan and walk out with an aspiring model got taken down for sexting a, well, aspiring model. No, I can’t figure it either, but there is some very old guidance about which of the human organs are better at thinking, planning and evaluating consequences.
Yes, I know it’s not as exciting as the Realization Montage in The Usual Suspects, but life usually isn’t. That’s why we pay clever people a great deal of money to make shit up for us to watch on a movie screen.
That would turn it from a bad episode of The Good Wife into a good episode of The Good Wife. For now Breitbart seems to only want Wolfe to prove he is what he seems. …
Come out, come out wherever you are ‘Dan Wolfe’ @patriotUSA76! Stop hiding behind anonymity! Own up to your role & motivation.
And that’s presuming Weiner did send the photo and was not auditioning for a post-Congress career as an underwear model.
If he did not send the photo, an investigation would be the most logical course of action, given he is a serving US Congressman and those breaches are rarely taken lightly. Twitter would receive a subpoena. The alleged hacker’s IP address could be learned. A warrant would be issued for the computer. An arrest warrant might follow. That would pretty much be the the end of story.
Well, we can’t disagree with that last part. Read the rest. It quickly descends into Jew-hating nonsense that has nothing to do with anything, but then again, it’s Weiner’s wife’s mentor Hillary Clinton who told us what a valuable news source Al Jazeera was.

That this comes hot on the heels of the unions waging a massive campaign of intimidation in Wisconsin pegs the Irony Alert needle. That this comes hot on the heels of a national union campaign to push card check, which is legalized union intimidation to force workers into unions whether they want to join or not, buries the Irony Alert needle. And that IAM is the same union which is currently the instrument of the union-dominated National Labor Relations Board’s unprecedented attack on Boeing in South Carolina just snaps the Irony Alert needle in two. The irony itself is flowing so deep that I can’t even see the bottom. An AFL-CIO union…wants another AFL-CIO union…to stop intimidating people. To maintain the appearance of a free and fair election.

When she emerged from the statue an hour later, a high school band visiting from Illinois broke into a rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner, as Palin covered her heart and the waiting news photographers snapped away. “She looks better in person [and] she’s definitely got my vote if she tries to run for President,” said Clayton Tarpley, 19, who snapped a picture with Palin and declared: “It’s going on Facebook.”
What a thrilling image!
Can you imagine the contortions the Left and Lamestream Media (redundant) will have to go through to criticize this pair–the first woman presidential nominee and the first black vice-president nominee of a major party?

The MSM is whining that Palin won’t talk to them and is treating them like ‘paparazzi’ and now some idjit leftist (in the spirit of the “New Civility™”, dontchaknow!) paints ‘media whore’ on her bus. ABC News pointed out that she often talks about the economy and how much money we’re spending.

Jacobs was infuriated that McCarter had accused Jacobs and his father of a conflict of interest on a controversial measure Gov. Quinn has threatened to veto.
Jacobs was chief sponsor of the utility-backed Smart Grid bill. It included an electric utility rate increase worth tens of millions of dollars to Com Ed. Among Com Ed’s army of Springfield lobbyists: former state Sen. Denny Jacobs, father of Sen. Mike Jacobs.
Critics complain that the bill would guarantee rate increases through at least 2014 for Illinois utilities.
Despite the charge by McCarter, the senate approved the Smart Grid bill, sending it to Quinn’s desk.
After that vote, witnesses said there was a physical confrontation between Jacobs and McCarter on the senate floor. The chamber was in recess and reporters had left to attend a news conference by Senate President John Cullerton.

More egregious than the high rate of black unemployment is the fact that Obama has been completely disconnected with the black community. He has failed to articulate any policy that would deal with the crisis that is evident in urban America. Rather, Obama is much more focused on articulating and enacting policies about issues that are close to his heart, such as allowing gays to serve openly in the military, as well as becoming a potent mouthpiece for the immoral Arab scam to steal Israeli land and annihilate the Jewish people.
Any intellectually honest person in America must look at Obama’s demonstrable disregard for black issues and come to the unavoidable conclusion that black America is the very least of Obama’s concerns. So obvious is this fact that even some of Barack Obama’s most ardent supporters in the black intelligentsia have begun voicing strident denunciations of the president. The latest assault on Obama from his left-wing compatriot Cornel West is evidence of this phenomenon.

MSM Circus and Celebutard Side Show:
What the hell are they smoking at MSNBC?
According Andrew Breitbart, there’s a double standard not only in the mainstream media, but among members of Congress as well. On Tuesday’s “Follow the Money” on the Fox Business Network, Breitbart went right after those politicians. However, he also had a few words for CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, who attacked Breitbart earlier in the day.
“Look, there’s clearly a double standard with the mainstream media,” Breitbart said. “If this were a Republican, like Mike Lee or Larry Craig or Mark Foley, it becomes the single most important story in the history of the media for three weeks, four weeks. We are inundated with it and then the Nancy Pelosis and Anthony Weiners of the world come out there and say there has to be the ethics investigation because this is how Republicans are but yet the Democrats right now are going out there on TV just like Jeffrey Toobin who has been involved in his own sexual scandal – Jeffrey Toobin who sought out during Monica Lewinsky tried to investigate into Henry Hyde’s sex life going back years and this guy is going on television today to say we shouldn’t pay attention to an alleged hack into a congressman’s computer? It’s ridiculous.”
Say what you will, at least CNN is a consistent “news” network. Then: build the “The Wright-Free Zone” to smooth the path to the White House for president-to-be Obama. Now? As Ace writes, “Wolf Blitzer Asking Weiner The Most Candy-Cane Questions Possible.”
LOL! It all of a sudden “does not matter” when it is a Democrat married to Hillary Clinton’s personal assistant who is posting pics of his (small) package on Twitter…Lawrence O’Donnell on Weiner: ‘Voters Need to Realize Sex Doesn’t Matter’
So this is what a socialist thinks about sex and politics:
- Promiscuity and infidelity are nothing to be concerned with when judging the character of a person being bestowed a position of tremendous power
- Family values isn’t something you can actually vote for
- A 46-year-old man married for less than a year sending lewd pictures to a 21-year-old college student (assuming that’s what Weiner did) is by no means an indication of his character or how he might use his position of power as an elected official.
If this is where America is going, our society is in far more trouble than the imminent financial crisis associated with Social Security, Medicare, and exploding budget deficits.
The AP only needed 110 words to carry the water of Barack Hussein Obama, who is not a Muslim, because “everybody’s doing it” and “he’s kind of like a god” and “Congress didn’t, like, say they were mad about it.”
It’s just remarkable to me. What sages! I mean, they know right now who can win and who can’t! So all we should do is take a poll of the people who are these programs and they’ll tell us who should run and who shouldn’t! The hell with the process, the hell with the debates!
Levin also added this sobering statement to make his point:
Let me put it to you this way. If we can’t win the Presidency with a conservative today, meaning this time around, we’re doomed anyway.
Someone better get Tingles some more ObamaKool-Aid stat because he is beginning to sound, dare I say it, rational! MSNBC’s Matthews: Breitbart Didn’t Smear Sherrod; Video Wasn’t Deceptively Edited
What did you expect out of a racist moonbat Gaddafi supporter like Beyonce? Beyonce: Michelle Obama.. Style Icon. Cracks Up Over Palin ‘Future In Comedy’ Question..
One has to wonder how fish survived when the atmospheric CO2 content was considerably higher, which leached into the seas, mostly due to dinosaurs driving vehicles powered by fossil fuels from previous denizens of the Earth.
Also, the alarmists are apparently trying the “ocean acidification” route again, as there are tons of stories. I guess “biodiversity” wasn’t working too well, nor was “food security.” Don’t worry, they’ll be back.
If environmentalists really are convinced that climate change inevitably makes life on Earth more lethal, this bet for them is a no-brainer. They can position themselves to earn a cool 10 grand while demonstrating to a still-skeptical American public the seriousness of their convictions.
But if no one accepts my bet, what would that fact say about how seriously Americans should treat climate-change doomsaying?
Yes, the Washington Post has actually taken the stand that the Freedom of Information Act is “misused” by folks like me trying to get to the bottom of Climategate.
The Sock Drawer:
These stunning aerial images of a King Penguin colony in South Georgia show just how extraordinary penguin parenting really is.
In what looks to be the world’s largest creche, thousands of King Penguins instinctively herd their recently born young into giant huddles to stop them freezing to death
Parental instinct takes over in the inhospitable climate of the South Atlantic and the chicks with their long, brown, downy coats are made to crowd together to retain their body warmth in the equivalent of bird creches – visible as brown swathes on our photo.
If you wondered how they get them all herded together into a crèche this is how they do it. If these Penguins lived in Ontario they would all be brought up on charges of cruelty to a child. (If video doesn’t start by itself click on the picture to play it)
The two lead researchers, Gaetan Borgonie of the University of Ghent in Belgium and Tullis Onstott of Princeton University, said the discovery of creatures so far below ground, with nervous, digestive and reproductive systems, was akin to finding “Moby Dick in Lake Ontario.”
August 1st, all 52 titles from DC will reset to issue #1 along with new storylines and probably significant changes to the title characters.
