I have told my friends and family (for whom I put this blog up for) there are alot of things that I read concerning the situation at Fukushima that I do not link to because they come from places where some of the people there consider the ‘tin foil hat’ to be a fashion statement, not a fashion risk. Unfortunately, when it does come to the subject of Fukushima some of them have been pretty much spot on. What I have been doing is reading/listening to what some of them have been saying, keep it in mind for future reference and then *Lo, and Behold!* three weeks to a month later the majority of the information they have been putting out is being confirmed (whispered in soothing tones and wording and buried on the back pages or by screeching headlines about “Maria and The Sperminator” as to not create a mass panic) by governments and the news media.
I have pointed out in previous posts that there is essentially a news blackout on this matter in Japan and that one by one various governments around the world have done their ‘nothing to see here-nothing to worry about’ thing while quietly upping their ‘official acceptable radiation exposure limits’ and shutting down publicly available radiation monitoring information. In the case of the US, the EPA has stopped cities and states from monitoring radiation levels for themselves and ‘taking it over’ almost immediately followed by a statement out of them that they will only monitor food/water/soil/vegetation levels on a quarterly basis. This came as no surprise to me when I saw some of the levels of radiation contamination in drinking water/milk/soil/vegetation coming from places like Pennsylvania and Florida.
Today I am going to post one of the comments that I would normally keep in the back of my mind and wait for ‘official confirmation’ in some form (either governmental statements or a news media report). The reasons why will become self evident when you read it (bearing in mind that the ‘official’ stuff is running about three weeks to a month behind the ‘tin foil hatters’). I hope to G_d that this guy has his ‘tin foil hat’ on way too tight and is totally wrong. I have now given the largest Caveatapalooza to this as I can so here goes.
The thread starts with a post from a commenter called ‘tacomagroove’ over at ENE news. I do not know if he just copied and pasted an article or this is his own thought process, though by judging his subsequent posts I am guessing it is the latter. I tried searching for such an article and could not find one with the exact wording. You can start with the post below and follow then follow the thread. If you feel like it post your questions to him on that thread. Note: I did clean up some formatting/spelling stuff in his post.
There are only 38 days or less until the fuel sustains a full-scale fission criticality. The boron (which stops nuclear fission from occurring) will have exceeded its lifespan by this time…
Tepco had already made a request as of March to evacuate the reactors. Though they are being forced to see it until the end by the Japanese government. God bless their souls. As it surely is a death mission.
The first death was reported on Friday. Meaning, that the situation is already well beyond cataclysmic. In all reality, the worlds biggest dirty bomb will be released in no more than 38 days…
Tepco will likely evacuate the site between the dates: June 16th – June 28th…
“This is because boron is limited and can no longer sustain its self within the current settings”.
Meaning: the fuel will release amounts of neutrons in such excess that the boron “in any quantity” will be now be unable to capture enough neutrons to stop a criticality.
At this time neutrons will begin to react against atoms, leading to a spike in temperatures exceeding any known cooling process… The fuel will then go core through the floor, and reach the water table in no less than 1-6 hours…
At that time the fuel will both be released in atmospheric and oceanic / form. Plaguing Japan first and foremost. I presume that over 100,000- 10,000,000 deaths will be attributed to the event alone. Japan will likely be forced to abandon the main island entirely within that time.
The continental United States will see the radiation within 2 days. The radiation will sweep across the northwest, as far north as Vancouver, Canada, and as far south as New Mexico. The main area’s to be astray from are Seattle through San Diego. The radiation will likely be 350 – 800cmp. (FYI 200cpm is when you should run indoors)…
This will continue as a global norm for at least two months, at that time reactors 5 and 6 will likely begin the path to China syndrome. If you are in a temporary fallout shelter, by August, you should be planning to find a more permanent location to settle…
Come November, the situation will likely start over again, now reaching 1000cpm or more. It will be anywhere up to a century for the initial radiation plumes to settle… The 600,000 spent fuel rods, will likely contaminate the entire planet killing 45% or more, of life on earth…
“Once the reaction from neutrons has dwindled to a 100-300 CPM internationally”; The biological life forms will begin to emerge from the now very few uncontaminated portions of the planet… Though human DNA will likely be mutated, and lifespans will be lowered to 20 – 44 years old in adult males, and 25 – 50 years old in Adult females.
My contention is that coming off the heels of Fukushima, this sort of oversight and poor reaction time should not be happening. The way Murphy has made his rounds around the country, they are lucky it didn’t escalate into a bigger problem.
Stories like this lend credence to the stories that the Japanese government is looking to move the capitol out of Tokyo…Japan gov’t “alarmed” by high levels of radioactive cesium detected outside of Tokyo in tea leaves picked May 15

And just like that, without rhyme or reason (well, technically the draw down in crude was substantial with crude inventories dropping by 3.8MM barrels, on expectations of a 1.7MM build, not to mention gasoline dropping from 1.275MM to 119K) the entire commodity complex explodes, after the market tired of today’s 3 hours of contractionary speculation and rotates the dial from Max deflation to Max inflation, bypassing anything in the middle. Expect the ramp to continue until the robots, which have now made commodities their latest stomping ground, tire of lifting every offer and go into full sell off mode, since it appears that once again nobody knows how to trade the end of QE2 and/or start of QE3. In the meantime, silver is up over 6% since yesterday. “Price Stability.”
The driver: always and only the dollar. As the relative dollar strength value chart shows, while silver was underperforming the DXY by almost 6% through yesterday, it has now caught up as another round of dollar weakness has materialized.
Let see now how the Comex hikes its gold margins with impunity if it has competition that keeps margins “artificially” low, and provides disgruntled Comex clients with an alternative venue that accepts far less cash collateral to trade.
Yesterday when we broke the news that DSK was housed in Rikers Island “West Facility” reserved for inmates with infectious diseases, we speculated, jokingly we hoped, that this may be due to his affliction with a certain sexually transmitted disease. Alas, if what the the NY Post reports this morning ends up being true, the situation may be substantially more serious: “Dominique Strauss-Kahn may have more to worry about than a possible prison sentence. The IMF chief’s alleged sex-assault victim lives in a Bronx apartment rented exclusively for adults with HIV or AIDS, The Post has learned. The hotel maid, a West African immigrant, has occupied the fourth-floor High Bridge pad with her 15-year-old daughter since January — and before that, lived in another Bronx apartment set aside by Harlem Community AIDS United strictly for adults with the virus and their families.” Oops.
But there’s a much more important story: what this means for the European financial crisis. The IMF is playing an important co-ordinating role in resolving the crisis, and Strauss-Kahn’s political skills were a big part of that:
Mr Strauss-Kahn was respected by both Angela Merkel (whom he had planned to visit on the weekend when he was arraigned) and by George Papandreou, the Greek prime minister. He supported the view, also held by the European Central Bank, that a eurozone member should not rush into default. The eurozone clearly needed the IMF’s technical competences in dealing with its sovereign debt crises – a set of skills largely absent in the European institutions. It also needed the IMF’s co-financing. But the IMF’s single most important influence in eurozone crisis resolution has been political. In a situation marked by a lack of political leadership, the IMF filled a vacuum.
Having a power-vacuum at the major multi-lateral institution charged with assisting its resolution will make things much more difficult. There’s a plausible argument to be made that the untimely death of 1920s fed chief Benjamin Strong left a weakness at the center of the Federal Reserve that considerably frustrated both domestic and international attempts to cope with the monetary collapse of the early 1930s. Could this be a similar incident?
For decades elite liberals in the media and academia have been ignoring the enormous number of rapes of white women by blacks. Instead, they hoped for the Great White Rapist (or Rapists) of a woman of color. Their hopes came crashing down when the Tawana Brawley case and the Duke gang rape turned out to be hoaxes. Now they may finally have their rapist, but guess what? It’s one of them! An arrogant, spoiled, wealthy, politically correct limousine liberal. The disappointment must be terrible.
Integrity was at one time the cornerstone of Western Society. The ethical and legal strictures arising from the Reformation demanded this from kings and commoners. From Casanova to De Sade to Mayerling, society recoiled at the excess of libertinism. The French monarchy in particular fell because of not only the economic and political rot at Court, but also the perception of moral degradation by the bourgeoisie. The Mandate of the Gods evolved into the consent of the governed but on a regular basis the mandarins push the envelope.
The world is at a strange and dangerous juncture. The moral cement that held us together is losing its grip and our leaders offer nothing in its place but sophistry and deception. The economic challenges are just as sinister. Taken together, the prognosis is unclear.
Our leaders tell us that these troubles will pass… to sit down, shut up, be patient, and put our faith and confidence in their abilities to right the ship once again. Sounds great… but there’s just one problem. Nobody’s buying it anymore.
We’re in the beginning of a period where people are finally starting to wake up and smell the fraud… and even though the establishment is furiously rearranging the deck chairs and trying desperately to maintain the status quo, the great market singularity is beginning to take hold: that which is unsustainable will not be sustained.
Glance at those headlines one more time. This system is corrupt, perverse, and wholly unsustainable. It will reset. Reasonable, sentient human beings cannot live under such a yoke in the long run.
It’s difficult to say how it will happen, when it will finish, or what it will look like at the end, but rest assured, it’s already happening, and it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
I think the violence that broke out this weekend on the Syria–Israel border is a clear indication that the revolutions in the Arab world are engendering more rather than less radicalism and instability in the region. I think they show that another Arab war against Israel is more likely now than at any time in the last 25 years, as Egypt, Syria and other countries reassess their options and come to the conclusion that war and other aggression against Israel serve their interests today in a way they didn’t in the past.
I think Israel’s response was weak and that Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who consistently fails to understand the nature of the gathering threats, should be fired.
And I think the Obama administration, which has thrown Israel under the bus in its efforts to appease the likes of the Muslim Brotherhood, Syria’s Assad, the Palestinians, and the nuclear-bomb-building Iranian ayatollahs, has contributed massively to the precarious destabilization of the region.
That’s the bottom line. So the disaster was due first and foremost to the Palestinian Arab leadership and secondly to the Arab states and publics.
The Audacity of Dopes…LOL! NY Times Editorial Board Thinks Obama Can Actually “Do Something” On Mid-East Peace
Probably the same “specific new ideas” they came up with at the Wannsee Conference in 1942….Carney: Obama’s Speech to the Islamic World Will Have “Specific New Ideas”
Any guesses as to what they might be?
The Nakba is a tiresome reminder that Muslims don’t want peace. That they’re not mature enough to handle it. They want genocide.
Wouldn’t surprise me if he uses Thursday’s speech to the Islamic world to throw Israel under the bus.
The Big Lie, as repeated by The Gray Lady…again, and again and again.
Three Syrian soldiers tried to defect to Lebanon after shielding fleeing refugees from Bashar al-Assad’s violent Shahiba miltia, but they were promptly arrested by Lebanese army officers and will most likely be sent back to Damascus. “Defecting” from Syria to Lebanon in 2011 is as useless as fleeing Moscow to East Berlin during the Soviet era. Anyone who tries is all but guaranteed to be arrested, will most likely be tortured, and faces the real possibility of being executed.
It’s sad, really. Lebanon, when left to its own devices, is a fairly open place and has acted as a refuge of sorts for writers and dissidents who can’t survive in the Arab world’s closed societies and despotic political systems. The country very nearly recovered its sovereignty and reverted to its old sectarian-democratic self after the Cedar Revolution in 2005, but today it’s firmly back in the Syrian- and Iranian-led Resistance Bloc.
From The Australian: Coptic Christians slaughtered in Egypt as the world looks away
Two churches in Cairo were burned in recent days. Over the past few months church property has being gutted, vandalised and violated with graffiti. Churches have been blown up.
An entire community – the Christian community in the new Egypt – is under attack. And the world remains relatively silent. There has been no significant religious outcry, political redress or diplomatic pressure to stop the attacks. There has been almost no media coverage as Egypt’s Muslims systematically, over the past few months, set about massacring Egypt’s Christians.
The world is not only standing idly by, it is enabling the massacre. The US naively expects that a new era, begun in new Egypt, will ripple to the rest of the Islamic world. So in the midst of these monstrous mass murders in Egypt, the US has decided to send an extra $US1 billion to help the Egyptians ease the economic crisis that emerged as a result of the ousting of Hosni Mubarak on February 11. Muslims in Egypt are on the warpath – on the religious warpath – and the US is feeding them money.
Thousands of Afghans protested against a reconciliation policy with Taliban and Al-Qaeda terrorists last week in Kabul.
These people understand the brutality of the Taliban. They’ve lived with it. But Obama doesn’t care. He wants to make peace with the Islamic thugs despite the fact that this group plants bombs in Times Square.
Obama wants a peace deal with the Taliban Islamists.
State media has said nearly 50 hectares of watermelon crops in the eastern city of Danyang have been ruined by the phenomenon this month after some growers doused them with the growth accelerator forchlorfenuron.
“On May 7, I came out and counted 80 (exploded watermelons), but by the afternoon it was 100,” farmer Liu Mingsuo told state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) in a report that aired Tuesday.
He said he had sprayed them with the chemical just a day before.
“Two days later I didn’t bother to count anymore,” added Liu, who admitted using forchlorfenuron and saw three hectares of watermelons – more than two-thirds of his crop – laid to waste.
Stratfor: Visegrad: A New European Military Force
With the Palestinians demonstrating and the International Monetary Fund in turmoil, it would seem odd to focus this week on something called the Visegrad Group. But this is not a frivolous choice. What the Visegrad Group decided to do last week will, I think, resonate for years, long after the alleged attempted rape by Dominique Strauss-Kahn is forgotten and long before the Israeli-Palestinian issue is resolved. The obscurity of the decision to most people outside the region should not be allowed to obscure its importance.
The region is Europe — more precisely, the states that had been dominated by the Soviet Union. The Visegrad Group, or V4, consists of four countries — Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary — and is named after two 14th century meetings held in Visegrad Castle in present-day Hungary of leaders of the medieval kingdoms of Poland, Hungary and Bohemia. The group was reconstituted in 1991 in post-Cold War Europe as the Visegrad Three (at that time, Slovakia and the Czech Republic were one). The goal was to create a regional framework after the fall of Communism. This week the group took an interesting new turn.
Back in 1985, the Schengen Agreement was signed by 22 countries in hopes of making a free and open Europe that would be better for businesses by making travel and trade much easier. Now that dream has turned into a nightmare due to the onslaught of illegal Islamic immigrants that have infested much of Europe. The new restrictions would require everyone to show passports before entering a new country. The new stricter policy was introduced by France and Italy who have been 2 of the hardest hit by the Islamic wave. They also want to reinstate the “readmission accords” with countries in the Middle East and North Africa that would make it easier to send illegal immigrants back to their home countries.
The new changes will have to be voted on by the European Parliament so we’ll have to see how serious they are about ending the freedom- killing disease known as Islam.

It is sad that central banks have completely lost control on what was once the reason for their existence, namely “price stability” – judging by the surging amplitudes in inflation and other indicators, it is obvious that stability is the last thing that modern economies have.
This is a fine example of a ‘whisper of danger’ I referred to in a previous post….Spanish youth rally in Madrid echoes Egypt protests
Yesterday, on a train from London to the Midlands, I stared out of the window on to a sorry scene of stunted crops and dusty land. This is England in May, where spring ought to look at its freshest. Instead, as any gardener knows, plants that have not been irrigated have given up on life. Cereal crops have decided that they had better reproduce quickly, as best they can under the circumstances, in case they die. They’ve produced small seeds that are too close together and won’t be sheltered from the sun by the usual leaf.
In Hertfordshire, farmer Robert Law expects the yield from wheat sown over winter to be down by 40 per cent. Cereals sown this spring have been practically wiped out. “In an average year, we would have 130ml of rainfall,” he sighs. “This year, we’ve had 7ml.” There isn’t the water to irrigate cereal crops, and it wouldn’t be cost-efficient for him if there were, given the prices the crops fetch.
Usually, only high-value crops such as sugar beet and vegetables receive irrigation; this year, the sprayer booms have been turned on.
German paper says Iranians paid cash to build mid-range missile launch pads on Paraguana Peninsula; Iranian engineers visited site in Feb.
BERLIN – The Iranian government is moving forward with the construction of rocket launch bases in Venezuela, the German daily Die Welt wrote in its Friday edition.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is Teheran’s most important South American ally.
Iran is building intermediate- range missile launch pads on the Paraguaná Peninsula, and engineers from a construction firm – Khatam al-Anbia – owned by the Revolutionary Guards visited Paraguaná in February.
Amir al-Hadschisadeh, the head of the Guard’s Air Force, participated in the visit, according to the report. Die Welt cited information from “Western security insiders.
President Barack Obama blames the little guy, but Uncle Sam — and not the small-business gun dealer — is the primary supplier of heavy weapons to the Mexican drug cartels in America’s “Third War.”
1. U.S. Defense Department shipments to Latin America, known and tracked by the U.S. State Department as “foreign military sales.”
2. Weapons ordered by the Mexican government, tracked by the State Department as “direct commercial sales.”
3. Aging but plentiful arsenals of military weapon stores in Honduras, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.
In each and every instance, the U.S. government is responsible for supplying weapons to the cartels: either directly via the ATF’s Gunrunner scandal routes, or indirectly via military sales and military assistance.
But precisely what weapons are we supplying the cartels? A Pajamas Media investigation found the weaponry seized from cartels that can only come from the U.S. government, which is trying to shift the blame to American small businessmen.

It’s almost like he knows America’s going to hell in a hand basket thanks to his Keynesian policies.
Well, Timmy, it’s time to go cold turkey. You have enough tax revenue to avoid a default. You can pay principal and interest, easily, with the tax money that comes in. You then get to choose – do you send Granny her check (after you blew her contributions over the last 30 years in a puerile display of idiocy) or do you continue to fund the magical oil “reserves” that we “defend” with our $750 billion a year in defense expenditures rather than having a cogent and defensible energy policy?
Choices, choices. They’re tough.
But default, in the legal sense, is in fact a choice, as the government’s income does exceed it’s actual lawfully mandated debt service.
Remember Timmy, Social Security and Medicare are not “obligations” – they’re entitlements. Your very agency has argued this, successfully I might add, in court. The Federal Reserve does not count those “obligations” as actual debts as a consequence.
In short Turbo, your “Armageddon Card” is frayed around the edges and doesn’t work any more. Multiple attempts at a balanced Federal Budget have been circumvented and fraudulently avoided. It is time to pull the rug out from under this game and throw the board on the floor; balancing the budget by refusing to raise the debt ceiling is the right way to do it, and now is the time.
Bill Gross is the world’s biggest bond trader. He runs the PIMCO bond fund with over $250 billion under management. He recently disclosed through financial filings that PIMCO has sold every single U.S. bond in its portfolio. Local, state, federal bonds- all sold off. Gross knows bonds are about to default in record numbers. And most importantly, he knows that the last resort of the Federal Reserve buying our own government’s bonds at auction is a certain sign of Armageddon. When no one is left to buy your own debt but you, you have reached the end of a Ponzi Scheme.
Then there is legendary Wall Street investor Stanley Druckenmiller. He, too, is calling the Fed’s bond purchases a fraud and a Ponzi scheme. Druckenmiller says, “There is a phony buyer of $19 billion per week of Treasury Bonds.” The phony buyer he refers to is the U.S. government. Druckenmiller knows that when a country resorts to buying its own debt, we are seeing the last days of the Roman Empire.
Another Wall Street legend, Jim Rogers, spoke out at a business conference last week. He said he plans to short sell (bet against) U.S. bonds with both hands. Rogers added, “If any of you have bonds, I would urge you to go home and sell them. If any of you are bond portfolio managers, I would get another job…if I were you, I would think about becoming a farmer.”
Finally, we have the opinion of municipal bond expert Meredith Whitney, named by Fortune magazine as “one of the 50 most powerful women in business,” and by Time magazine as “one of the 100 most influential people.” She sees America in financial ruin with 50 to 100 cities defaulting on their debt in the next year.
What do these financial legends know that the rest of us do not?
First of all, reality is catching up to America. The Ponzi scheme of printing fake money to pay real bills is coming to an end. The jig is up- there is no way to sustain America’s massive welfare state anymore. When the Stimulus runs out, states will face disaster. The federal government currently pays for 30% of the states’ bills. Without that welfare from the feds, the game is over for the states.
From Dow Jones: “U.S. home construction fell unexpectedly in April, an indication that the troubled sector will remain a drag on the economic recovery.”
The presidential stimuli (both from Bush and Obama) gave a starving nation cotton candy instead of meat and potatoes.
Three years later, we are seeing the effects of not nourishing our economy.
Frankly, free trade with China and government over-regulation — what business is it of Congress what color my toilet paper is? — and a school system that favors creating a nation of sociologists rather than workers have taken their toll as well.
No wonder Obama thinks the GM bailout was such a great success…
Because of your bailout cash GM was able to sponsor a propaganda movie glorifying the creation of the Chinese Communist Party.
Well, if Obama’s dream of high-speed rail can’t be salvaged, there’s always his dream of windmills.
Republican Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito is pushing a change in the Environmental Protection Agency’s general orders.
Back when the EPA was formed, we actually had air pollution.
A Democratic Congress decided that jobs were expendable
Now that air pollution is pretty much over — I live next to a coal plant and pollen, not coal dust, is the problem — the EPA bureaucracy is bigger than ever and chasing the imaginary problem of carbon dioxide.
Capito wants to end this irrational behavior before all jobs in the private sector are in China.
The study, entitled The Price of Oil and the Value of the Dollar, states that the value of the U.S. dollar has declined by 14 percent since the Fed began its program formally known as “quantitative easing” (also called “QE1″) in November of 2008, as the financial system neared meltdown.
By pumping out dollars to stave of an impending disaster, the Fed effectively devalued the U.S. currency. With oil an international commodity that trades in U.S. dollars, the declining value of the dollar has added $17.04 per barrel to the price of Brent Crude oil, the study found.
So, this is simply a way for Democrats to accuse private entities of malfeasance in order to cover their own illegalities? Hey, remember when Pelosi talked about a “culture of corruption?” This goes hand in hand with Obama and Eric Holder wanting to investigate oil speculators. Democrats need a demon (some would call said demon’s “victims”) to blame, as Democrats always need. Forget those pesky Constitutional protections from false accusations, there’s an election coming up.
When have any of the 21st century Democrats worried about such ‘silly little things’ like the Constitution? D’oh! Harry Reid’s Oil Subsidy Repeal Bill Is Unconstitutional…
Ed wrote about the “war on potatoes” back in October and what it might portend for greater government intrusion into dietary choices. There does seem to be an uptick lately in stories about the state obsessing over kids’ weight, from curiosities like this to moronic attempts to ban Happy Meals to eyebrow-raising technology in which kids’ semi-empty plates are actually videotaped so schools can make sure they’re not consuming too many calories. The next step, I take it, will be to make five-year-olds keep daily diaries on one of those online calorie-counting websites, and then somewhere down the road we’ll presumably eliminate the middle man and just chip ‘em to make sure they’re not overeating.
That’s a lot of money, but it pales before what we’ve done to undermine the affordability of our own health care system. If this were a game of poker, health care’s administrative overhead expense could see the tax code’s wasted $431 billion and raise it another $320 billion. That’s right, the U.S. will spend nearly three-quarters of a trillion dollars on health care paperwork in 2011. The cost will consume one-third of every single dollar that Americans will spend, tax, or borrow to pay for health care. If health care administration expense were its own country it would be the 18th largest economy in the world. And not one penny of that vast sum will be spent on caring for patients or preventing disease.
Congress and government bureaucrats now have the power to reward and punish; to enrich their political allies and bankrupt their enemies; to deny health care services or permit them; to literally play God.
And that is why Democrats jammed through a monstrous bill that purports to be “health care reform”. No one read the bill. No one knows exactly what it will do. But they knew enough, namely that it will grant unlimited, God-like power to a select few political hacks.
That’s the real ‘change’ the drones voted for in 2008.
Worst. Law. Ever.
The Washington Post reported this weekend in an in-depth investigation that “a pattern of HUD projects” intended to provide housing for the poor has become a wasteland of taxpayer funds.
The Election Assistance Commission was supposed to be disbanded in 2005. It now has 50 full-time employees — and nothing to do.
The bigger the federal leviathan grows, the more impossible it is to do business without doing it with the government — increasing companies’ exposure to the whims of bureaucrats. Here a liberal journalist explains how this principle will be exploited to move us still closer to totalitarianism without passing any new laws
If Boeing were smart they would move offshore… Labor panel wants union officials in corporate boardrooms
Why has private-sector unionization fallen from 35 percent of the work force during World War II to less than 7 percent today? The main reason is that unions raise a firm’s labor costs, leaving fewer resources for things like job creation, capital improvements, and research and development. Unions also make it much harder for owners and executives to make practical business decisions. A memo leaked from the National Labor Relations Board makes clear that President Obama and the radical labor advocates he put on it are embarked on a calculated campaign to make unionized firms even harder to manage. The NLRB’s recent suit against Boeing Aircraft Co. is merely the first step.
Harry Reid is trying to bring Greek violence over to this side of the pond. Won’t happen, and he knows it. But he has to pander to illegals anyway because that’s what Democrats do – separate people along any lines of demarcation possible; race, sex, national origin, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc, then pander and conquer the weak that buy into the BS
Texas Department of Public Safety chief Steve McCraw testified before lawmakers in Washington on Wednesday.
He says the majority of people from terrorist sponsored countries are getting into the U.S. along the Texas border. He pointed to Ahmed Muhammad Dhakane as one of those terrorists.
He asked for asylum at an international crossing in Brownsville in 2008. Halfway through the request, Federal Bureau of Investigation Agents took a closer look at him. They say he was an Al Qaeda terrorist and human smuggler. Dhakane admits to smuggling seven members of Al Qaeda into the U.S.
He’s been sentenced to 10 years behind bars for lying on his asylum application.
Border security certainly hasn’t improved since 2008, no matter what Janet Napolitano says. If anything it’s gotten worse as the current administration looks the other way while “undocumented Democrats” (and select members of Al Qaeda) flock across the border.
Mexican police captured TWO TRUCKS crammed with 513 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS heading to the US. The immigrants were from Latin America, Japan, China, India and Nepal.
These new rules include “outreach programs”, talking points stressing that no one else in the mosque is a bad person, that they’re “as American as apple pie,” along with special training “aimed at enhancing law enforcement officers’ cultural competence and sensitivity on issues involving the Arab, Muslim and Sikh American communities.” Anyone else get the feeling that the Islamists are getting a really good laugh over these rules?
After the heavily armed agents flooded the grounds of the Flagler Mosque, a small converted house in a modest neighborhood west of Milam Dairy Road and north of Flagler Drive, they waited for morning prayer to finish before arresting Khan outside.
“Instead of barging in with 25 agents and trampling all over the place, one agent took off his shoes and went in,” he said. “”They respected the congregation that was there.”
OK, waiting for the morning prayers to end is simply standard common courtesy. Anyone think they would be forced to have sensitivity if it was a Christian, Jewish, or Mormon church?
Oh, BTW, these new rules didn’t work: the Muslim community is still pissed off at the FBI about the raid and arrests….hey, why aren’t they pissed at the 3 who are charged with material support to the Taliban, a repressive, fundamentalist Islamic group which is linked to terrorism, treats women harshly, and practices a harsh form of Sharia law?
Todas Somos Palestina doesn’t sound like Arabic to me…Shrieking Far Left Hamas Supporters Disrupt TX Christian Service (Video)
The far left strikes again. Hamas supporting members of Todas Somos Palestina disrupted a Christian church service this past weekend. The screaming leftists targeted Pastor John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas after the pastor announced that he would hold a service dedicated to Israel.
The chilling video below reveals the terrible malevolence hiding beneath the surface (and sometimes right in the open) of the Islamic radical students in the MSA.
Because David Horowitz’s Freedom Center is dedicated to raising awareness of the dangers of Islamo-Fascism and the oppression of women, gays and other minorities in Muslim countries, it has become a high priority target of the Muslim Brotherhood’s United States arms – CAIR, the Muslim American Society and the Muslim Students Association.
Democrat? Check. From Illinois? Check. Foaming at the mouth America hating Marxist Moonbat? Check. Trifecta! Jan Schakowsky (D, IL): SEALs are criminals!
Yes, really, if this had just been uttered by some nobody then you could simply chalk the comment up to pig-ignorance, coupled with thee utterer being a natural-born damned fool.
However… Jan Schakowsky is a powerful Democrat:
Schakowsky serves in the House Democratic Leadership as Chief Deputy Whip and is a member of the Steering and Policy Committee. She is a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, where she serves on the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, the Subcommittee on Health and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. Democratic Leader Pelosi appointed her to serve on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where she is ranking Democrat on the Oversight Subcommittee.
Which means that, if she’s an idiot, she’s not the only one; the bigger ones are the Democrats who let her onto all those committees where everybody else uses all those big words all the time. And so, if she’s not an idiot… well, when are you going to introduce articles of impeachment against President Obama, Representative Schakowsky? I’m sure that we’re all agog to hear that particular bit of news.
The FBI’s “Most Wanted Fugitives” list has been around since 1950. President Obama’s penchant for nominating political activists and radical academics to the federal judiciary has resulted in a new list: the “Most (Un)Wanted Judges.” This list is comprised of nominees who (with two exceptions) are now pending a vote in the Senate.
The federal judiciary is not the place for political agendas and academic fads. But the Left has used the federal courts for decades to advance their political goals at the expense of the Constitution and the rule of law. The worst of the worst judicial nominees would, if confirmed, set back our liberty, our economic freedom, and the hard work that constitutionalists have been doing to reestablish the limits on the power of government envisioned by the Framers.
President Obama just can’t let go of far Left San Francisco liberals out of touch with mainstream America — and the law.
After dropping two controversial Bay Area judicial nominees from his slate before Christmas, Obama has resurrected the bids of 9th Circuit nominee Goodwin Liu and US Magistrate and ethnic-card jurist Edward Chen and renominated several dozen other candidates.
Liu’s chronic amnesia and recklessly injudicious smearing of Supreme Court justice Samuel Alito are bad enough. But his expedient metamorphosis from radical judicial activist to cut-and-run cypher is baldly disqualifying.
Where’s Valerie Plame when you need her to screech about real national security leaks?
Yes, the same CIA he has the Justice Department investigating for “abusing” al-Qaeda detainees.
It’s worth noting that much of what Barack Obama does policy wise originates at the Center for American Progress. So while he may not be a foreign born manchurian candidate, his public policy proposals derive from Bermuda dollars spent over at CAP.
Someone needs to page Dinesh D’Souza to see what he thinks Barack Obama’ reaction will be to the idea that his big public policy proposals are vetted via a British territory, given Obama’s antipathy for the Brits.

False gods deliver no one, especially this one. Obama Fancies Himself a god: “My People, You Continue to Have My Blessing”
What kind of political leader tells his supporters this?
My belief in you has not lessened.
President Obama does. That’s what he said toward the end a speech at a campaign fundraiser last night in Washington to a relatively youthful crowd of supporters he was trying spur back toward the energy level of 2008.
He still believes in what he believes, which is also what they believe, he said.
The vision that brought us together in 2008, that’s undiminished in me.
And best of all, our Leader let it be known, thankfully, that he continues to have faith in you and me as well.
The confidence I have in the American people, in their decency, that’s undiminished. My faith that we can make tough choices on behalf of future generations, that’s undiminished.
I just, I’m just, I’m really just crying right now.
Probably not, but let me put this on your radar screens now as an early, early, early warning that Hopenchange v2.0 might have more trouble with Democratic enthusiasm than it expected.
It’s actually amazing, after two years of nine-percent employment, crushing deficits, Bush-like counterterrorism policies, and an historic GOP comeback in November, that it would still qualify as “news” if The One’s fundraising among O-bots was a tad sluggish. Messianism is worth its weight in gold.
ACORN chief organizer Bertha Lewis has created a group called the Black Institute whose agenda is essentially identical to ACORN’s. ACORN founder Wade Rathke is spreading the gospel of Marxist social justice around the world through his offshoot group ACORN International (also known as Community Organizations International).
State chapters have incorporated themselves under new names. New York became New York Communities for Change. California became Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment. Texas became Texas Organizing Project. ACORN’s vote manufacturing division, Project Vote, still operates under the same name and small-c communist Frances Fox Piven still sits on its board. ACORN’s housing bubble generator, ACORN Housing, changed its name to Affordable Housing Centers of America. It’s the same people in the same offices and it just goes on and on.
ACORN insiders have admitted that the “new” groups will re-federate under a new name soon.

Look for the Union Label/The Badger Rebellion:
“Fundamental” rights and “equal opportunity.” Those are terms large enough for Kloppenburg to drive a 50-page brief through, regardless of the facts.
Thankfully for the people of Wisconsin, Kloppenburg with not be on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, because her conception of fundamental rights and equal opportunity appears to be divorced from the reality we all see with our own eyes.
Guns and butter? Nope. The question is highways or state pensions?
What we have here is a classic example of how a union destroys an American industry.
The purpose of the government at the local level is to provide roads, sewers and the like.
Unions first pushed lucrative state pensions as a way to make up for “low” salaries — and then pushed for higher salaries. A tweak here (retire at 55) a tweak there (2% of salary for every year worked as the pension) and a tweak there (police officers can load up on overtime just before they retire to boost their “base” pay) and pretty soon you owe as much to state employees as you need to provide the very services that government is supposed to provide.
OEA officials told the Dispatch that the decision was made by “an overwhelming majority” of an estimated 1,000 delegates who attended the union’s Spring Representative Assembly, but they refused to disclose the vote. So the public will just have to take their word for it.
It’s the same dirty pool in Michigan, where Michigan Education Association executives recently conducted a statewide membership vote to gauge support for “job actions,” including a possible strike, to protest pending education reforms. But MEA officials refuse to release the vote totals to the public or their members. If they go out on strike, who can say if the teachers really voted in favor of the action?
In both cases union bosses give the appearance of democracy by polling members. But without reliable vote totals as proof, the public is left to wonder if the union is really motivated by the will of rank-and-file members, or the decisions of a small group of left-wing bosses who are immune from everyday financial realities.
A growing number of Ohio residents are realizing that the state, and local school districts in particular, can no longer afford many of the expensive perks contained in union collective bargaining agreements. More and more citizens understand that it doesn’t make sense to lay off young and eager educators, or cancel student programs, to preserve bonuses for retiring teachers or full salaries for local union presidents who never teach.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department will release no more information about the circumstances surrounding the killing of Jose Guerena during the serving of a search warrant by the department’s SWAT officers May 5 at his home.
Two weeks after the shooting the department has yet to disclose exactly what they were searching for in the Guerena home as well as three other residences in the area that were subjects of a drug investigation. Court documents that show what officers were searching for in the case have been sealed and what was seized as evidence has also been sealed.
The most famous victim of Sheriff Dupnik’s stupidity is on the mend…Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords to have skull surgery after January shooting
Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords will undergo surgery this week to replace a piece of her skull removed by doctors after she was shot in January.
Giffords had a piece of her skull removed shortly after the shooting to allow room for brain swelling, and has been wearing a helmet adorned with an Arizona state flag.
Doctors said earlier this year they expected to reattach the skull in May.
Giffords will undergo the surgery today, a person familiar with Giffords’ care said.
Too good to be true.
After watching the above this should come as no surprise…The Democrats’ prime target in 2012: Allen West
Something tells me these bed-wetting liberals aren’t going to intimidate him.
The lead story in the Wall Street Journal this morning bears the headline “Financiers Switch to GOP,” and quotes a Wall Street lobbyist saying, “Hedge funds bankrolled the Democrats in the 2006 and 2008 elections, and the very people they helped put in power turned around and screwed them.”
Just what did they think a large Democratic majority and a radical president would do to them? Are Wall Street hedge-fund managers even dumber than industrial CEOs? At least the big industrial companies (like GE) can expect some old-fashioned rent-seeking benefits from Washington
“‘Do you want to meet with Carter?’ Clinton is looking at papers, and just says ‘No.’ Then she pauses, looks up and adds, ‘HELL no!!!’”
If you don’t understand why she’d be so mad, reread this post and all shall be revealed. Now that primary season is upon us and we’re fantasizing about longshot candidates who might conceivably give The One a run for his money, it’s worth remembering that there’s someone out there who checks a lot of the boxes we’re looking for. She’s got Senate experience and major foreign-policy chops; she spent more than a year attacking Obama on a daily basis in 2008, and is linked by marriage to a centrist whose economic record is farrrrrr better than Obama’s is. And of course it’s not unheard of for presidential candidates in one party to end up under consideration to join the ticket of the other. Just ask Joe Lieberman.
Michigan has run a perpetual budget deficit for all 8 years of the Granholm regime culminating in last-minute deals for cuts and/or tax increases. There were years where Granholm simply never proposed a serious budget. With her failed leadership behind us, it’s nice that we have a budget in place under the Snyder administration almost a full half year before the 2011-2012 budget year even kicks in. Since Michigan is on the course to recovery though, the bobbleheads in Lansing are predicting extra revenue this next year of some $300 million, money that the Detroit Free Press wants to spend before it even materializes (the surplus is a projection after all). But they are ignoring completely a debt bomb that was armed last year and set to go off
Talk about blind hatred for Christianity, they’ve been using the auditorium for 70 friggen years!
In the Grayslake, Illinois School District 46, three tea party members decided to take action by running for three available seats on the school board this spring. I wish more would do the same thing.
Their opponents were two incumbents with strong teachers’ union ties. One of the incumbents, Mary Garcia, also serves as the teachers’ union president in neighboring District 30. The other, Susan Fecklam, reportedly ran a coordinated campaign with Garcia.
The incumbents were obviously concerned about the presence of the tea party candidates on the ballot, and what they might do to the union agenda if they were elected.
So what did the incumbents do? They allegedly broke the law, or violated school policies, by using school email accounts to promote their campaigns, and by bribing 18-year-old students to register to vote, on the presumption the kids would vote for them.
Your tax dollars at work…Giving Illegal Immigrants The Edge Over American College Students?
If, let’s say, you’re a student from North Carolina, Ohio, or Arizona who wants to go to a public university in Maryland, you have to pay a higher rate than teenagers who live in the state. On the other hand, if you’re in the country illegally, you get the cheaper in-state rate.
In case after case over the last decade, the Justice Department has said that successful criminal investigations depend on being able to obtain electronic data about Americans without search warrants. Prosecutors told a federal appeals court in Philadelphia last year, for instance, that Americans enjoy no “reasonable expectation of privacy” in their, or at least their mobile phones’, whereabouts.
The sensitivity of location data, especially, has been the focus of recent attention on Capitol Hill in the wake of revelations about what geoinformation is stored on iPhones and other mobile devices. One Senate committee held a hearing last week on the topic, and a subcommittee of Leahy’s own panel will convene one on Thursday morning.
In 2005, CNET disclosed that police were engaging in warrantless tracking of cell phones. In a subsequent Arizona case, agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration tracked a tractor trailer with a drug shipment through a GPS-equipped Nextel phone owned by the suspect. Texas DEA agents have used cell site information in real time to locate a Chrysler 300M driving from Rio Grande City to a ranch about 50 miles away. Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile logs showing the location of mobile phones at the time of calls became evidence in a Los Angeles murder trial.
Back in my day, we walked to school. It was uphill, both ways. Even worse, we didn’t have “recess coaches.”
Another dispatch from MOTUS: I Love the Smell of Rich in the Morning
In psychology, a dysfunctional, crippling relationship is called “co-dependent.” The “taker” dependent on the “giver” is reduced to sullen resentment and abject terror should the “giver” withdraw support; on the other side, the “giver” is sullenly resentful of the burdens imposed by a demanding “taker” who never seems to get healthier or more independent.
Perhaps the dynamic between an ever-more dominant Savior State and a resentful, complicit, dependent-on-bread-and-circuses citizenry is best described as dysfunctionally co-dependent.
Promise people everything–education, housing, safety, retirement, healthcare, job placement, entertainment, the arts, you name it, regardless of their output and engagement–and what need do they have for “old” systems of “social capital” support such as community, marriage, church and other free associations that require commitment, reciprocity and tolerance for others?
Clearly, there are functions such as national defense and protecting the citizenry from predation that government is designed to fulfill. But the evolution from a government tasked with limiting predation and exploitation to a Savior State for all is not as “win-win” as it is commonly depicted by enthusiasts buoyed by their rock-solid faith in the government’s printing presses to “pay for everything for everybody forever.”
The costs are not just financial. The government has paid for the lane, it’s our “right,” so now we bowl alone.
Liberals do this all the time. They have a basic emotion-driven dislike for America and all of the traditions and values which have made us great. They hide their disdain for America under a shroud of intellectual mumbo-jumbo; spouting crazy stupid nonsense which sounds above our ability to understand. I call it, “Intellectual Stupid Speak.”
My fellow Americans, racism is ugly and evil. Most Americans agree and reject it. So, when I see black race pimps like the ColorOfChange using race to bully people, it turns my stomach.
And, something else that truly annoys me. The black community is not a tribe with chiefs dictating our monolithic opinion. I ask that these disgusting race baiting organizations please stop running around proclaiming they speak for “the black community”. I am black. They do not speak for me.
Victor David Hanson: The End of an Idea — Why Affirmative Action Should Stop
It is a very human thing to identify with a tribe and see race as essential rather than incidental to the individual. It is also very human to seek advantage wherever it appears and not to give it up when it brings such dividends. Ending affirmative action will be acrimonious. The demagoguery will be unmatched, as millions who benefit from it will cite all sorts of reasons why it must continue. Articles like this will win charges of “racism” (last time I touched on the issue, I ended up in the Stanford Daily, with calls to my employer to mete out politically correct punishment).
But no amount of explication and good intentions can mask an obsolete idea, whose time has come and gone. Its contradictions outlined above are not aberrant, but logical given the eternal truth that it is wrong to judge humans on their outward appearance or racial heritage — always.
MSM Circus and Celebutard Side Show:
The Lamestream Media’s 2012 GOP Primary Meme has emerged. A couple of elections ago, the Lamestream Media’s Meme was “George Bush Lacks Gravitas.” Since 2008, the “She’s So Polarizing” meme has been cultivated and used against Sarah Palin.
This year’s GOP Meme is “You’re Not SERIOUS.” Interestingly, it’s only used against candidates who poll extremely well, and actually have a statistical ability to beat Obama, according to polls of likely voters.
In the “bad is good, up is down” world created by the Lamestream Media, “serious” means “not a threat” and “not serious” means “Oh, sh*t. They’ll clean Obama’s clock.”
The Obama administration’s pimpslapping of their MSM ‘”ho’s” back into line continues…Transparency! White House Shuts Out Boston Herald Writer
The most open and transparent White House ever! Well, except for those reporters who don’t march in lockstep.
The White House Press Office has refused to give the Boston Herald full access to President Obama’s Boston fund-raiser today, in e-mails objecting to the newspaper’s front page placement of a Mitt Romney op-ed, saying pool reporters are chosen based on whether they cover the news “fairly.”
“I tend to consider the degree to which papers have demonstrated to covering the White House regularly and fairly in determining local pool reporters,” White House spokesman Matt Lehrich wrote in response to a Herald request for full access to the presidential visit.
So whatever they deem fair is how access is determined. Thanks for the heads up. Those of you covering the White House now know what it takes to get your job done. Bow and scrape before this administration.
The Herald’s Joe Battenfield asks “what are you afraid of, Mr. President?”
The Boston Herald is one of the major papers for Boston, yet, Obama refuses to give them direct access. It’s not the first time the Obama White House has pulled these kinds of stunts. Obviously, he thinks more along the lines of Hugo Chavez than..well, any American President. Even Jimmy Carter wasn’t this stupid.
Needless to say, we can surely expect air and balanced reportage from Youngman during the 2012 elections.
Whoever does emerge to take on Obama will receive the same lessons Trump did: Obama is a fierce campaigner, and the nation’s grown-up-in-chief has little patience for sideshows.
Like what, flying off to tape Oprah and seemingly endless vacations and golf?
This so-called “reporter” really ought to consider moving over to Tiger Beat magazine. I can see “columnists” writing public mash notes to Obama. In fact, I see it every day. But how can anyone take Youngman credibly after this?
We don’t expect much out of McRINO, but going to an Al Jazeera event and telling them how “proud” you are of them is infuriating.
Somewhere there’s a jelly doughnut going stale waiting for that yap-hole.
Coming from a “man” who hasn’t said anything intelligent for at least the last decade.
Let’s see, the Democrats were all for going into Afghanistan after 911, gave Bush the Congressional authority to go to war with Iraq, and since Obama became President invaded Libya without a clear purpose as to what we’re doing there, but it’s Sarah Palin and the ‘right wing’ that ‘enjoys’ and wants more war…
Ironically, Matthews had this recently regarding the killing of bin Laden as part of that war that Sarah Palin is supposed to love so much: Chris Matthews: Last Week Was ‘Best Week Ever For The Country’

I’m beyond perplexed by government officials and assorted Gorebots who lose sleep over how much earth-destroying electricity my incandescent bulbs devour and then try to convince me to help save the planet by purchasing a car I have to plug in. They know that electricity is generated from the same source… don’t they?
Coming soon, the sale or importation of old school light bulbs will be illegal, which means that the following conversation may soon take place in a federal prison cell somewhere in the United States:
“What’cha in for?”
“Bank robbery. You?”
“Incandescent light bulb.”
If you want to know why the whole idea of manmade global warming hasn’t already been completely discarded as a scientific theory, it’s because there is a staggering amount of money and political pressure being applied to keep it alive.
The theory fits the agenda of a lot of liberals, environmentalists, bureaucrats, and power hungry politicians. So, they savagely attack anyone who opposes it and ensure that massive amounts of money go to scientists who support it.
Most people, scientists included, follow the money. If there’s a lot of money to be made saying global warming is happening right now and saying otherwise will lead to public scorn from your peers, most scientists will just go with the flow.
Language Warning! And Mother F**king Math Too…
That is what Eco-tard fascist rentseekers call “savings.”

The Sock Drawer:
In this study, we analyzed published reports of the number of major planets and used statistical analysis software to identify trends in the data. These trends show a disturbing result, specifically, that the number of planets in the solar system has been decreasing since the middle of the nineteenth century. Extrapolation leads to the conclusion that the solar system will have no planets by the end of the next millennium.
