World On Fire – Mapping Last Week’s 88 Global Protests

Libyan Protesters Hang Two Policemen In Al Baida, As Sermons Urge Locals To Ignore “Imperialist, Zionist” Attempts To Stir Revolution

Just headlines for now, but unfortunately the escalation in Bahrain has now spread, as anticipated, to cities in Libya. Dow Jones reports that Libyan protesters have hung two policemen in Al Baida. We will bring more when we see it, but we expect reprisals by the authorities to be harsh and prompt.

Treasury Secretary Geithner to Senate: “Yes, Obama’s Budget Will Cause the United States to Collapse. What Are You Gonna Do About It?”

Yesterday’s testimony by the Treasury Secretary in the Senate Budget Committee meeting was shocking for two reasons. First: Tim Geithner as much as admitted that his boss’s budget sucks. Second, that legacy media didn’t report his shocking admission.

That is: Obama’s budget sets the United States on a course of complete economic collapse. And, no, I’m not kidding — though I wish I were.

Make Believe Media: Obama’s Failure of Leadership Is Actually A “New, Crafty” Way To Lead

It is astonishing that these people will brand FoxNews as “right wing media” when the rest of the media takes silly crap like this off left-wing websites on pushes them as “news.”

Rex Murphy: Egypt crisis leaves Obama diminished

This was not the lightworker President his more enthusiastic fans thought they had voted for. Obama is not as large as the times demand or the office he holds. He presides more than he leads. He’s everyone’s favourite master of ceremonies. He’s great for state pomp and show, the display moments of the American presidency. But when the day darkens and events begin to roil, Obama does not fill the space a real leader needs to fill.

Here is a clue-it ain’t Barack Obama-Gallup Poll: And the Greatest US President of All Time Is… Obama is tied with “No Opinion”.

Obama Acted Stupidly In Picking Sides Against The Taxpayers

The drama unfolding in Wisconsin has the potential to be a defining moment in the 2012 presidential campaign because Obama openly has picked sides against the taxpayers in favor of public sector unions

The Madison insurrection: follow the money

The primary reason the White House and the Democrats are fighting the movement to end collective bargaining is that dues will no longer be mandatory for teachers in the unions once they can no longer bargain.  Therefore there will no massive slush fund for the Democrats.  In 2010 the following for the two major teachers unions in the U.S. were massive moneybags for the left.

Obama’s Organizing for America Behind Wisconsin Chaos

In the clear choice between pathologically greedy teachers unions on one side, and the children who are going untaught and their bled-dry taxpaying parents on the other, where did you expect Comrade Obama to come down? In addition to whatever backroom machinations are taking place, the Manchurian Moonbat publicly splashed gasoline on the flames by denouncing Governor Walker’s acknowledgment of fiscal reality as “an assault on unions.” Elect a man whose only real political experience is as a “community organizer” (i.e., Marxist rabble-rouser), and you would be a fool to expect anything else.

Barak Obama’s OFA/SEIU Calls to Bloody the Tea Party in Madison

Public employee unions show their true face

This isn’t just (or at all) a fight over benefits or economics; this is a struggle over who has power — the elected representatives of the people or union bosses and their paid-for allies in the Democratic Party. Right now it’s just Idaho, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Indiana, but the battles here and, inevitably, in other states will determine who has that power. The Left has drawn such hard lines already against any reform that the governors can’t afford to back down, lest they let Labor know the elected representatives of the people can be intimidated through intransigence and thuggery. It’s a sad thing for decent union members who would likely have accepted reasonable compromise if the situation had been honestly explained to them, but their leaders have lead them into a battle that forces the governors to break the unions in order to keep faith with their voters — the taxpayers who are the public employees’ real bosses.

More than being about fiscal soundness, this is a battle between representative democracy and corporatism.

Socialist Public Employees Call for Revolution in Wisconsin

So with that, here’s a roundup of reports that you won’t be seeing in the Democrat-Media-Industrial-Complex.

Read the whole thing!-An Open Letter to Mr. Daily Kos

A Brief, Illustrated History of the Public Sector Unions That, Together With The Democrat Party, Are Waging War on the Taxpayer

Public sector unions are killing our economic system and the American taxpayer. The debt unleashed by their outrageous benefits plans simply cannot be paid. The union bosses have lied to their members about lifetime benefits and they have betrayed the American people. Public sector unions must be disbanded and outlawed before more of our country begins to resemble Greece, Spain and other European countries.

Gov. Scott Walker to Obama: We’re Focused on Balancing Our Budget. It Would Be Wise for the President to Focus on Balancing His Budget

FDR’s Ghost Is Smiling on Wisconsin’s Governor

Roosevelt openly opposed bargaining rights for government unions.

“The process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service,” Roosevelt wrote in 1937 to the National Federation of Federal Employees. Yes, public workers may demand fair treatment, wrote Roosevelt. But, he wrote, “I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place” in the public sector. “A strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent on their part to prevent or obstruct the operations of Government.”

Rick Perry & Republican Governors Release Statement In Support of Scott Walker

Palin to Wisconsin: Do not let unions bully you

We have finally come in Madison to the basic question: will voters control government and public policy, or will the unions?  Don’t kid yourselves into thinking the unions don’t understand that, either.  They know exactly what’s at stake in the Battle of Mad Town, and that’s why they’re throwing everything they have into winning it.

We’ve Reached the Tipping Point

Teachers In Wisconsin Make More Than Double The Per Capita Income.

Wisconsin Madness as Seen by the ‘Little People’

This morning I spoke with a co-worker named Jason who hails from the Dairy State. He said that “Walker should do like Reagan did with the air traffic controllers and fire their a**es!” His anger was focused on the Madison and Milwaukee public school teachers who called in sick to attend the protests at the capitol which caused the cancellation of classes in their districts. Wisconsin’s public school teachers are well compensated and receive lavish health and retirement packages that far outpace what similarly educated citizens could earn in the highly competitive private sector, a point not lost on Jason, who struggles to make do on half that amount while buckling under the weight of an oppressive property tax bill.

Demonstrating race: The asymmetrical classification of crowds

Compare to MSM coverage of the Tea Party, which dissected its demographics to the point of an obsessive compulsion. What can possibly account for the mainstream media’s disinterest in the diversity of pigmentation in the pro-union crowds demonstrating against Republicans in Wisconsin? I am baffled and mystified, and cannot imagine why this question would not be of great interest, just as it was during the summer Tea Party rallies.

Battling against the common good, not for it

“Something is happening. Something is changing. In Madison, we see public servants in mass protest to preserve a status quo that has pushed the state toward insolvency. This is not labor versus management. This is labor versus the common good.”

Democrats Call Government Shutdown a Sign of Failure, Except in Wisconsin

President Obama weighed in as well suggesting that the entire economy could be at stake, “Basic functions shut down. And it — that, also, would have a adverse effect on our economic recovery.” You get the idea. Government shutdowns are horrible things according to Democrats.

And then today, a group of Wisconsin Democrats shut down the state Senate by fleeing to a hotel in another state so they could not be dragged back to work. Meanwhile, public schools around the state were also shut down as over a thousand teachers put their own interests above those of their pupils, many for the second day in a row. Finally, we learned that Organizing for America (formerly Obama for America and now an official arm of the DNC) was helping to organize those “grassroots” protests.

And what was the response to this government shutdown by Democrats? Well, the President offered an expression of support for unions (including “ill” teachers). And, as mentioned, his political operation went into full swing planning the protests that eventually shut down Wisconsin schools (and may do so again today).

ObamaCare vs. The Constitution of the United States

For the sake of America, the judicial branch and powers of the state need to be made equal again to Congress and the President. Otherwise these current years will go down in history as when America voided out the Constitution for the sake of a health care law.
