The White House has now issued orders to federal departments and agencies asking them to take immediate steps to ensure that no more leaks like this happen again. It’s of course important that we do all we can to prevent similar massive document leaks in the future. But why did the White House not publish these orders after the first leak back in July? What explains this strange lack of urgency on their part?
The answer is obvious and she knows it, which is why she posed the question-to club those “bitter clingers” over at the “reality-based community” over the head with their statues of their clay footed, tin plated false god.

But most presidents don’t arrive at the White House so bored with the quotidian details of the American people. Reagan lived out the American dream of being a self-made man in first broadcasting, then show business, then the governor of one of the nation’s largest states. Ike brought freedom to western Europe. Teddy Roosevelt was the consummate outdoorsman. As Machiavellian as Richard Nixon could seem, he could at least outwardly sympathize with, rather than be bored by, the Silent Majority. Even men born into wealth and privilege such as JFK and FDR appeared much more connected with the American people than our current president.
Of Fake “Bogeymen” And Artificial “Security”
The fact is that all the vital components of the modern monetary system, the one Mr Conway says has failed, are listed as sacrosanct. According to the arguments from politicians and the mainstream financial media, certain components must be retained in any “viable” monetary system. Governments must be able to create money out of thin air by borrowing what they do not dare confiscate. (My note-The congress has had four hearings over the last two years about confiscating everyone’s 401k’s and dumping that money into Social Security). The commercial banks must be able to create money out of thin air by lending out a multiple of the money entrusted to them by depositors. Central banks must be able to create money out of thin air by manipulating interest rates so that existing borrowers can service their debts and new borrowers can be induced to go into debt. Whatever new system emerges must retain all the essential features of the present system.
As long as that “argument” lasts, the situation will get worse and the bogeymen will proliferate. This will go on as long as the rest of the world continues to cling to the US as the “heart” of the existing system. How long is that? That’s what we have to watch for.

Those who can afford to (or have specialized skills that will get them residency visas) are leaving the country for places like Singapore, Australia and even China.

My puzzlement with Hispanic community elites’ constant demand for “comprehensive immigration reform” (a.k.a., some sort of blanket amnesty) is that I fear the urge is in part tribal. Let me explain. If there were 5 million Greeks in California fleeing the Athenian meltdown, all residing illegally here in California, would the Hispanic community object, and, if so, on what particular grounds (e.g., legality, practicality, fiscal reality, morality?)
